Hi Christine, it depends on what type of technology you're talking about. There have been long-term studies of human gene therapies, which deliver a healthy gene to replace a mutated copy. There are initial studies happening now on the use of CRISPR gene editing in patients. And of course, there is now decades of data showing that GMO crops are safe. There are all sorts of technologies being pursued to essentially "reprogram" our bodies to treat disease and make our food better.
